About The Position

This role involves operating a clamp truck to unload and manage roll stock in a warehouse setting. The operator will be responsible for inspecting materials, labeling them, setting aside damaged items, and communicating issues to the supervisor. Key duties include ensuring bills of lading are signed, placing roll stock into inventory, maintaining FIFO rotation, organizing rolls by grade and width, and preparing them for the machine. The operator will also service the butt roll discharge area, report mechanical problems, follow safety procedures, maintain a neat workspace, and inspect equipment before use, including dock locks and tandem positions. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn, and the role may require lifting up to 50lbs.

Counting and stacking finished product
Reading orders
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler
May be required to lift up to 50lbs during shift

Responsibilities

Unloading of roll stock
Inspecting roll stock for damage
Labeling each roll with International Paper tag
Setting apart damaged roll stock and communicating damage to shift supervisor
Ensuring bill of lading is signed
Placing roll stock into raw stock inventory
Keeping paper rotated on a FIFO basis
Organizing rolls by grade & width
Organizing rolls with smaller butts first
Checking schedule for current & next orders to run on machine
Bringing paper to machine at correct station and putting in correct position
Servicing butt roll discharge area
Reporting any mechanical problems to shift supervisor
Following safety procedures for safe operation of work equipment
Keeping warehouse neat & orderly
Inspecting equipment before using including locking in dock lock & ensuring tandems are in correct position
Wearing all necessary PPE
