About The Position

International Paper is hiring a Clamp Truck Driver for their facility in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, hourly position with a pay rate of $27.21 per hour. A sign-on bonus of $500 is offered after 30 days, $500 after 6 months, and $500 after 1 year, with an additional lump sum after 2 years. The role involves operating a clamp truck to unload, store, and transport paper rollstock, as well as maintaining clean and organized storage areas. This position reports to the laminator supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
Certified ability to safely operate a forklift truck and clamp truck.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler.
Ability to use basic shop math.
Ability to learn.
Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

Unload, store, and take paper rollstock to and from the laminator.
Maintain clean and well-organized storage areas.
Follow all plant safety, quality, product safety, and other rules and procedures.
Unload and store rollstock from rail cars and/or trucks.
Identify unloaded rolls with tags and writing.
Check corrugator schedules and obtain/deliver appropriate rollstock to wet end positions.
Return down (butt) and/or unused rolls from the wet end to the rollstock warehouse.
Keep track of rollstock tallies and tickets (consumed, loaded, or unloaded).
Assist with loading and unloading of raw materials and/or finished goods from the machine.
Help wet end crews.
Assist on other parts of the corrugator when the machine is down.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
