About The Position

GAINSCO is seeking a Claims Training Leader to develop, coordinate, implement, and deliver training programs that help Claims employees perform at their highest level. This role will primarily support Level 2 Claims training focused on non-attorney represented bodily injury claims, including onboarding, nesting/live claim handling support, continuous learning, and skills development. You’ll partner with Claims leadership and peers to improve performance, quality, and productivity across the Claims organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • To perform the essential functions of this job an active Texas or Florida Adjuster License will be required to comply with state and GAINSCO requirements. Upon hire, additional license(s) may be required. If that is the case, license(s) must be obtained. All licenses must be maintained in accordance with state requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years coaching and training, and/or presentation experience required.
  • Minimum of 4 years Claims experience required.
  • Strong technical claims handling knowledge and insurance industry expertise.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback at all levels of the Claims organization.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and analytical skills.
  • Leadership, mentoring, and management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and influence employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Claims management skills preferred.
  • Experience developing learning programs and curriculum is a plus.
  • Experience with learning tools and content development platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Instructor-Led, Virtual, and Online training sessions for new and existing Claims employees for Level 2 Claims (non-attorney represented bodily injury).
  • Provide mentorship and support during onboarding, nesting, and live claim handling.
  • Monitor employee progress and provide feedback to drive performance and growth.
  • Create training content, resource materials, and curriculum tailored to Claims processes and systems.
  • Ensure programs are aligned with business goals and adult learning principles.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with Claims leadership to align training with departmental initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership on performance consulting and cross-functional projects.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of training strategies.
  • Oversee licensing requirements and CE compliance for Claims employees.
