About The Position

As a claims technician, you prepare estimates for claims settlements. You estimate damages and ensure that quotes from providers comply with the organization’s standards and processes. You draw on your sound decision-making skills to solve technically complex problems and recommend ways that partners can improve. The ability to tailor your approach as needed is therefore essential.

Requirements

• College diploma in a related field
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of French is required
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
• Available for travel within the Greater Sherbrooke, Drummondville, and Lac-Mégantic regions (south-central Quebec)
• Action oriented, Business insight, Customer Focus, Decision quality, Differences, Nimble learning, Situational adaptability

Responsibilities

• Estimate damages and review provider estimates and quotes.
• Recommend repair strategies to optimize interventions based on the organization’s procedures and quality standards
• Support claims advisors and answer questions about damages.
• Make claims settlement recommendations
• Audit claims and follow up on corrections to assess the quality of work completed by providers.
• Suggest courses of action
