About The Position

The role of Claims Support Specialist is a unique opportunity to work with a high-quality team of leaders and benefit from the security and stability of a large organization while maintaining a nimble and responsive approach to business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating claims intake, assisting the claims team, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring compliance. This role is instrumental in supporting effective claims handling. This role is hybrid for our Scottsdale, AZ location.

Requirements

High school diploma required
3+ years’ office experience required
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with an aptitude to learn new programs
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and satisfaction
Effective time management and prioritization
Professional accountability
Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred
medical claims experience preferred
DY/ESL Office experience preferred

Responsibilities

Enter claim submissions into the claims management system
Monitor and manage claim and notice inboxes
Upload and flag supporting documentation for review by the Claims Examiner team
Enter various types of claim notices (50%, trigger, case management) into the claim system
Identify complex and/or catastrophic claim notices and escalate to leadership as necessary
Refer relevant cases to the Cost Containment team
Maintain thorough reporting and open communication with Supervisor regarding assigned areas of responsibility
