About The Position

Wettermark Keith is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented Claims Specialist to join our Personal Injury Pre-Litigation team. The Claims Specialist plays an important role in setting up claims for our clients as well as sending letters of representation to insurance companies and/or registered agents of two entities responsible for our client’s injuries. This position involves making sure claims are set up with the proper insurance parties and obtaining adjuster information for said claims so that WK staff can assist clients with their cases. If you are someone who enjoys helping people, is comfortable communicating with insurance companies, and can keep multiple claims and follow-ups organized, we would love to hear from you!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups.
• Professional and empathetic communication style.
• Ability to communicate confidently with insurance representatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working directly with insurance claims and/or insurance adjusters.
• Previous experience in a personal injury law firm.
• Familiarity with insurance terminology and claims processes.
• Experience with legal case-management software.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance claims departments and claims representatives to set up claims, send letters of representation, as well as locate adjusters that handle claims for our clients.
• Obtain and organize insurance claim numbers, insurance information, and adjuster information.
• Draft letters of representation to registered agents to entities responsible for our client’s injuries
• Document claim activity, communications, and updates accurately in the firm's case-management system.
• Identify potential coverage issues or other concerns and escalate them to the appropriate attorney or team member.
• Work closely with Case Managers, Client Liaisons, Attorneys, and other members of the Pre-Litigation team.
• Maintain organized and accurate electronic case files.
• Perform other duties and assist the department as needed.
