About The Position

In this fast-paced role, the Senior PIP Claim Representative adjusts first-party Personal Injury Protection claims in accordance with state compliance requirements, regulations, and company guidelines.

Requirements

  • Prior claims experience preferred; Personal Injury Protection (PIP) experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is a plus
  • Recent college graduates with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply
  • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Handle lower- to moderate-severity Personal Injury Protection claims across multiple states
  • Receive approximately 3–5 first reports per day, with a focus on timely patient contact, customer service, and accurate claim disposition
  • Perform daily duties including first reports, ImageRight tasks, medical bill review, treatment monitoring, reserve analysis, and coordination with nursing staff
  • Maintain an effective follow-up system on pending files while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
  • Provide timely updates to injured parties regarding claim status and disposition
  • Investigate and interpret policy provisions and conditions to make appropriate coverage determinations
  • Apply functional knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, along with a thorough understanding of Personal Injury Protection claim handling and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking and decision-making skills in time-sensitive situations
  • Ensure service quality, loss control, and expense management standards are consistently met
  • Adhere to all privacy guidelines, laws, and regulations related to claims handling
  • Collaborate effectively within a small team environment while maintaining strong customer service standards
