Claims Representative - Crop - Field
About The Position
As a Crop Claims Adjuster, you will investigate, inspect, evaluate, and pay Federal Crop and Crop Hail Claims. The territory for this role is the following counties in Illinois: Mercer/Henry/Rock Island. This role makes an impact by reviewing the client's policy, determining coverage levels, making contact with the client within 24 hours, explaining the claims procedures, setting inspection dates/times, inspecting the damage, determining the cause of loss, evaluating the damages, calculating the amount of damages, and issuing payment. The adjuster could also be involved in auditing, bin measurements, drone flights, training, compliance, and meeting presentations. This role communicates and negotiates with a variety of individuals regarding investigation and settlement of claims, including insured’s, claimants, insurance carriers, and other involved parties. Adjusts all federal crop claims exclusively in the American Farm Bureau Insurance Services CAP estimating system. Maintains relationships with agency and Illinois Farm Bureau Managers in assigned territory.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
- A valid driver's license for all levels.
- Federal Crop Certification for P2-P4.
- Climbing and or walking fields in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
- May be required to travel with overnight or extended stay as needed.
- Must live in or around the following Illinois counties: Mercer/Henry/Rock Island.
