About The Position

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Claims Representative 2 Crop - Field to investigate, inspect, evaluate, and pay Federal Crop and Crop Hail Claims. This role is crucial in supporting the organization's vision to enrich lives in the communities served and make a difference for clients.

Requirements

4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
A valid driver's license.
Federal Crop Certification for P2-P4.
Ability to climb and/or walk fields in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
May be required to travel with overnight or extended stay as needed.

Responsibilities

Review the client's policy and determine coverage levels.
Make contact with the client within 24 hours and explain claims procedures.
Set inspection dates/times and inspect the damage.
Determine cause of loss and evaluate damages.
Calculate the amount of damages and issue payment.
Potentially be involved in auditing, bin measurements, drone flights, training, compliance, and meeting presentations.
Communicate and negotiate with insured's, claimants, insurance carriers, and other involved parties regarding investigation and settlement of claims.
Adjust all federal crop claims exclusively in the American Farm Bureau Insurance Services CAP estimating system.
Maintain relationships with agency and Illinois Farm Bureau Managers in the assigned territory.
