About The Position

This is an onsite TEMPORARY role for a 6 to 8 week assignment. The role involves frequent cash handling, administrative responsibilities, and customer interaction. The workday is busy and changing, with opportunities to work with "happy winners." While there is desk time, the job also requires regular movement. Employees are expected to support the organization values (honesty, respect, integrity and trust) and its commitment to corporate social responsibility (including responsible gaming, environmental awareness, community involvement, etc).

Requirements

  • High school/GED and 1 year of experience in customer service, cash handling, or operating in an office environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Skilled in multitasking, prioritization, and maintaining professionalism under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Validate and process lottery prize claims by verifying player eligibility, age, and identity using secure verification tools and IRS TIN matching systems.
  • Prepare, approve, and distribute prize payments via checks or prepaid debit cards, ensuring compliance with Lottery and IRS standards.
  • Manage cash handling operations, including balancing drawers, daily deposits, and reconciliation of claims activity.
  • Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation, ensuring secure storage of sensitive winner information and adherence to audit policies.
  • Respond to player inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy, ensuring an engaging and positive claimant experience.
  • Monitor and balance instant ticket inventory, ticket vending machines, and SCIQ systems, ensuring efficient claims center operations.
