The Insurance Services department is looking for the right candidate for a position as a Claims Preparation Support Clerk. An ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated and display good multitasking skills. Must have the ability to learn new tasks quickly in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. Job duties include but are not limited to working closely with our Auto Damage team and customers.

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak in a clear, empathic and professional manner by telephone.
  • Must perform duties at a stationary workstation.
  • Strong decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and have strong organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists claims handlers in obtaining and/or verifying information pertinent to the handling of claim files.
  • May research policy for claims and policy information.
  • Obtains necessary supporting documentation from the involved parties or liability adjuster.
  • Prepares supporting documents.
  • May coordinate staff adjuster assignments.
  • May prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • May set up new loss files for Claims handlers, logs file in and distributes to appropriate claim associates.
  • May set up CCC files and dispatch to the property damage team.
  • Manages an outlook mailbox, communicating with internal and external contacts.
  • Must be able to work inbound and outbound calls.
