About The Position

The Claims Field Inspector is responsible for resolving assigned roadway maintenance claims by inspecting reported conditions in the field and completing small to medium repairs on a specific highway maintenance project. This position receives claims routed through the Project Manager by the project claims coordinator, travels to each location to assess and correct reported issues (such as concrete spalls, surface paint, and loose guardrail cables), documents the work performed, and returns the completed report to the claim’s coordinator. The role works under the direction of the Project Manager and operates within active roadway work zones in full compliance with traffic control and safety requirements. This is a field inspection and repair position assigned to a single project. It is not an official investigator role. The Claims Field Inspector does not make legal, fault, or liability determinations, does not adjudicate claims, and does not represent OASIS in any legal, insurance, or claims-dispute matter. The inspection duties described in this document are limited to assessing the physical condition reported in each claim to ensure the appropriate repair is made, documented, and reported. Any condition that exceeds the small-to-medium repair scope or may carry legal or liability exposure is escalated to the Project Manager for direction.
