About The Position

This position provides administrative and operational support to the litigation function by coordinating the handling of litigated claims, subpoenas, official complaints, subrogation requests, and audit-related activities. The Litigation Coordinator supports the Litigation Manager in ensuring cases are appropriately onboarded, documented, tracked, and processed in a timely and accurate manner. The role serves as a point of coordination among internal teams, clients, attorneys, FEMA/NFIP, and other external stakeholders to support effective communication, compliance, and workflow management throughout the litigation process.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to independently identify, manage, and prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Prior claims experience, including experience in claims or insurance litigation

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding of new litigation matters, including confirming assignment, notifying stakeholders, distributing claim documentation to defense counsel, and identifying applicable policies and coverages.
  • Maintain accurate litigation files, case tracking systems, and related documentation, ensuring records are complete, organized, and accessible.
  • Process monthly litigation invoices, including onboarding, review, filing, FEMA submission, status tracking, and coordination of payment issuance.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures, templates, and correspondence for litigation and claims coordination.
  • Serve as a liaison among legal teams, finance, external agencies, clients, underwriters, and other parties to support efficient communication and compliance.
  • Support audit preparation by organizing, compiling, and submitting requested documentation and reports within required timelines.
  • Review claims reports, documentation, and system information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established service standards.
  • Monitor deadlines and incoming communications, prioritize workload, follow up on missing documentation, and conduct research to support claims analysis and resolution.
