About The Position

Sedgwick is looking for a Claims Associate - Recovery to join their team. This role involves processing and reviewing subrogation claims across all lines of business and jurisdictions within an entry-level caseload. You will process payment checks in accordance with guidelines, handle monthly payment recovery files, coordinate with collection agencies, and support the Claims Recovery Team. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Analytical and interpretive skills
Strong organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check

Nice To Haves

Claims industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assigned inventory of subrogation files with recovery.
Maintains a monthly diary on cadence, aligned to department service expectations and schedules; follows up to ensure timely payment.
Processes recoveries into various claims systems to ensure the recovery dollars are applied to appropriate claims file.
Works with collections agencies when appropriate to collect from at-fault parties and records details in claims file.
Uses technology and resources, as needed, to complete investigation.
Responds to clients' questions timely and professionally.
Approves and/or pays bills as appropriate.
Prepares various type status reports for clients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
