We currently have an opportunity for a Claims Assistant to join our Specialty Claims team. Overview: Responsible for assisting Claim Specialists, Claim Technical Managers and Regional Claim Manager with the servicing of assigned accounts in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.

Requirements

  • Related experience with commercial insurance.
  • Excellent customer servicing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Team player who works well with others, and assists/supports both the claims team and HUB successfully mitigate the overall risk/exposure of HUB clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and report new claims.
  • Enter data as required in HUB automation systems.
  • Provide support to the claims team on complicated matters including special projects.
  • Handle correspondence and the administrative processing of claims including claim reporting forms/emails, system file maintenance and claim status updates requested by the team.
  • Provide team with support on the telephones.
  • Assist with follow up investigation, negotiation and settlement of all claims.
  • Perform all duties necessary to support the overall department objective of advocating for our clients in the claim handling process.
  • Responsible for developing complete familiarity with all forms, documents, paperwork and systems including their intent and purpose.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Regional Claim Manager.
