Potelco, INC., seeks a great Claims Administrator to join the team at our Sumner, WA office. The Claims Administrator is responsible for performing administrative duties related to insurance claims for Potelco, Inc. If the following interests you, we encourage you to apply!

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of claims experience in a business environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Access)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of the utility industry

Responsibilities

  • Receive, investigate, and process damage claims including property, auto, utility lines, etc.
  • Draft correspondence regarding the release of claim, payment requests, subrogation demands, and denial letters
  • Communicate via phone and email to help gather missing information and support documents
  • Work closely with Base Managers, General Foreman, and Superintendents to process damage claims in an organized and timely manner
  • Record utility line damage to Common Ground Alliance
  • Maintain accurate files with correspondence and all supporting documentation
  • Update claimants, customers, and bases on the status of the claim through the review process
  • File documents for small claims court proceedings
  • All other duties as assigned
