Responsible for effectively analyzing and resolving assigned claims consistent with Claims Department standards and company objectives. This role involves handling assigned claims, including occasional serious/complex claims, within established settlement authority in a prompt, fair, and equitable manner. The Claims Adjuster II will identify and investigate coverage, damage, and reserve adequacy, applying relevant statutes, common law, and legal/regulatory concepts. They will communicate with various parties, manage external service providers, maintain essential file documentation, and provide status reports to management. The position also focuses on cost containment, loss mitigation, subrogation recovery, and participating in departmental and interdepartmental meetings. Travel may be required for training, conferences, legal proceedings, and claim investigations. The role may also involve assisting other claims personnel and training new employees.
