About The Position

Derex Technologies Inc is seeking a ClaimCenter Lead with Guidewire expertise for a remote position. The role involves providing technical leadership for ClaimCenter development activities, ensuring consistent implementation patterns, and establishing/enforcing standards for Gosu, PCF, configuration, and integration. The Lead will also contribute hands-on to complex development tasks, perform code reviews, and oversee various aspects of ClaimCenter functionality including FNOL, workflow, rules, financials, data integrity, and integrations. Additionally, the position requires active participation in agile ceremonies, mentoring developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and continuous improvement of development practices.

Requirements

  • Advanced hands‑on ClaimCenter development expertise including Gosu, core configuration/enhancements, and applying consistent implementation patterns across multiple developers.
  • Strong skill in designing and implementing ClaimCenter UI solutions, including PCF development and reusable UI configuration patterns that remain maintainable and upgrade‑safe.
  • Deep experience implementing ClaimCenter FNOL/intake functionality, including rule‑driven automation such as automatic exposure creation and intake‑related triggers.
  • Expertise configuring ClaimCenter workflows and business rules, including segmentation and assignment logic aligned to operational routing needs.
  • Proven capability implementing and validating ClaimCenter financial functionality, including transaction approval and routing logic and related financial behaviors.
  • Extensive experience building/supporting ClaimCenter integrations using enterprise patterns such as events, message payloads/transport, plugins, and batch/work queues, with focus on resiliency and failure handling.
  • Strong background extending the ClaimCenter data model and applying configuration safety practices (schema impacts, downstream effects, and operational stability considerations).
  • Solid experience delivering ClaimCenter changes through a full lifecycle, including code/config validation, defect triage, test support, and environment progression (Dev→QA→UAT→Prod).
  • Broad experience delivering ClaimCenter solutions across multiple P&C lines of business (e.g., WC/OA/Commercial Auto) and translating claims operational needs into consistent technical implementations.
  • Guidewire Certified Professional or above - InsuranceSuite Cloud Cloud Cloud Integration
  • Guidewire Certified Professional or above - ClaimCenter Cloud Configuration

  • Experience with concurrent development in multiple ClaimCenter environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day technical leadership for ClaimCenter development activities, ensuring consistent implementation patterns across developers.
  • Establish and enforce Gosu, PCF, configuration, and integration standards aligned to ClaimCenter best practices and solution architecture.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for technical design decisions within the development team.
  • Contribute hands‑on to complex ClaimCenter development tasks (Gosu, PCF, configuration, integrations) where advanced expertise is required.
  • Perform code and configuration reviews for Gosu, PCFs, rules, data model changes, and integration logic.
  • Identify and remediate technical debt and risky implementation approaches early.
  • Guide implementation of FNOL/intake, automated exposure creation, and intake‑related automation.
  • Review and validate workflow, segmentation, and assignment rule implementations to ensure operational correctness and scalability.
  • Ensure rule changes do not introduce unintended side effects across claims or lines of business.
  • Oversee development affecting ClaimCenter financials, including transaction approval and routing behavior.
  • Validate that financial logic aligns with business intent, authority limits, and audit expectations.
  • Review data model extensions and configuration changes for downstream reporting and integration impact.
  • Lead technical implementation of ClaimCenter integrations (events, messaging, plugins, batch/work queues).
  • Coordinate with upstream and downstream system teams to resolve integration dependencies and sequencing issues.
  • Review error handling and resiliency approaches for integration flows.
  • Partner with QA and BSAs to define technical testing considerations, edge cases, and failure scenarios.
  • Lead defect triage by identifying root cause, recommending fixes, and preventing repeat issues.
  • Ensure development work is production‑ready before promotion across environments.
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies, providing technical guidance during refinement and sprint planning.
  • Support estimation and sequencing of development work based on technical complexity and risk.
  • Mentor and coach developers to raise overall team capability and consistency.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between Architects, Developers, BSAs, and QA.
  • Translate architectural guidance into executable development patterns.
  • Proactively communicate risks, tradeoffs, and impacts to delivery leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve development practices, reuse patterns, and team efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of quality, maintainability, and operational awareness within the ClaimCenter development team.
