About The Position

Coalition is seeking an experienced cyber claims adjuster to join its Claims team. The role involves handling complex primary Cyber, Tech, and Media policies and supporting the underwriting team. The Claim Specialist will coordinate with breach coaches, defense counsel, coverage counsel, partner carriers, and other vendors while helping insured customers manage cyber risk and resolve claims. The Claims team emphasizes strong client service and intelligent claims handling.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience adjusting cyber claims.
• Must be a licensed claims adjuster in the state of residence and able to obtain licenses in NY, TX, FL, GA, MI, WA, NC, CT, and AZ.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, interact with others, meet deadlines, and perform successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented, with the ability to excel in a collegial environment and work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Juris Doctor or bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake of cyber events, coordinating with breach counsel, forensic investigators, and other vendors.
• Participate in after-hours claim intake and incident response coordination as needed.
• Evaluate the full pending of claims and post and recommend accurate reserves.
• Maintain accurate file documentation and information in the claims system.
• Analyze liability and damage data for complex claims and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Analyze insurance coverage issues and draft coverage letters.
• Manage and track third-party vendors and service providers, including their work and spend.
• Maintain and develop relationships with brokers, insureds’ risk managers and general counsels, and vendors.
• Identify settlement opportunities to maximize impact.
• Collaborate in the defense and resolution of claims.
• Provide data- and analytics-based informational support to underwriters.
• Support business development with marketing.
• Liaise with partner carriers on a daily basis.
