About The Position

The Claim Discovery Specialist supports all aspects of litigation by managing claimant discovery, reviewing case documentation, analyzing claim eligibility, and ensuring compliance with court-ordered discovery requirements. You'll work closely with our senior discovery manager, discovery team, attorneys, claimants, and vendors to collect, organize, and evaluate records and discovery materials throughout the litigation lifecycle of a case. We're looking for someone with strong litigation management skills, experience in mass torts, product liability, personal injury, or medical malpractice, and the ability to handle high-volume discovery workflows across multiple dockets. Ideal for candidates with a paralegal, legal assistant, or mass tort/product liability background who are looking to apply their legal skills outside the traditional law firm environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing large-scale discovery projects and processes
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and discovery obligations
  • Experience reviewing medical records and legal documentation
  • Proficiency in case management and document management systems
  • Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to multitask, handle urgent projects, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels
  • A flexible, empathetic problem-solver with a customer-service mindset

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze claimant files for completeness, eligibility, and supporting documentation
  • Manage Plaintiff Fact Sheets, Profile Forms, Census Forms, and other interrogatories, while tracking discovery deadlines and deficiencies
  • Collect, organize, and review medical, pharmacy, and other claim-related records, coordinating with claimants to resolve missing documentation
  • Assist with the preparation and production of discovery responses and supporting evidence, and draft legal documents such as complaints
  • Ensure compliance with Case Management Orders (CMOs) and litigation protocols while maintaining accurate case management records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for claimants during the discovery process, providing case updates and coordinating with supervisors on casework
