About The Position

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Cladding Estimator to support the preparation of competitive and accurate bids for cladding and building envelope projects from our Head Office in Ontario. This role is open to candidates at different stages of their estimating career, including those looking to build experience and those bringing relevant prior estimating or construction experience who want to continue developing within Bothwell-Accurate. Working with the Cladding Estimating team, the Estimator will review project drawings and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing, prepare estimates and proposals, and support the bid process from initial review through submission. Previous experience in estimating, cladding, façade systems, glazing, building envelope construction, or related commercial construction is an asset, but not required.

Requirements

• Basic ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with an interest in quantity take-offs, pricing, and cost estimation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet bid deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PDF software (e.g., PDF-XChange or Bluebeam).
• Self-motivated and dependable, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Civil or Construction Engineering, Building Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant construction experience, is preferred. Candidates currently completing a relevant program may also be considered.
• Previous experience or exposure to construction estimating, cladding, façade systems, glazing, building envelope construction, or related commercial construction is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, addenda, and other bid documents to understand scope, requirements, and potential issues.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material measurements from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for cladding and building envelope projects, with guidance from the Estimating Manager and senior team members as required.
• Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations, compare pricing, and identify information or clarifications required to complete the estimate.
• Prepare and submit bids and proposals, including pricing breakdowns, scope, exclusions, and supporting documentation, while ensuring submission deadlines are met.
• Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, Project Managers, and other internal team members to clarify scope, pricing, materials, and project requirements.
• Track bids, proposals, and tender information, and maintain organized estimating documentation throughout the bid process.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing information, and bid tracking records to support future estimating accuracy and continuous improvement.
