About The Position

Englobe's Grande Prairie office is seeking a dedicated Civil Technologist to join their Municipal and Transportation Infrastructure team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to enhance their career through diverse and challenging projects while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. The position involves performing general project duties, preparing cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents under supervision. Responsibilities also include developing, preparing, and reviewing civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team, conducting site inspections and materials testing, managing construction contracts, and liaising with clients and contractors. The role requires coordination of designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
• Member or eligibility for membership in ASET
• 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including but not limited to: Water Distribution Systems, Wastewater Collection Systems, Stormwater Management Systems, Site Grading, Transportation and Structures including Bridges and Culverts
• Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods
• Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Proficiency with Civil3D software

Responsibilities

• Perform general project duties including preparing cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technologist
• Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team
• Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required
• Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
