About The Position

ECM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and implementation of various structural projects. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license for State of Louisiana required or ability to become one.
• Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in consulting or construction industry.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STADD Pro or similar.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with Revit or other BIM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects including residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and institutional buildings.
• Utilize software tools and engineering principles to create detailed structural designs and calculations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing structures, identify potential issues, and propose retrofitting or repair solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
• Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering technologies, codes, and regulations.
