About The Position

We are looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer who thinks from first principles, questions convention, and wants the weight of owning the outcome. Someone who can design it, stand behind it, solve for it in the field, and build the runway as they go. This role involves designing civil and structural systems end-to-end, taking professional responsibility for calculations, drawings, and specifications as Engineer of Record, staying close to construction to resolve field conflicts in real time, and challenging cost, constructability, and third-party engineering deliverables without cutting corners.

Requirements

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7+ years designing civil and structural systems for data centers, industrial, or other mission-critical facilities.
• Working knowledge of ASCE 7, ACI 318, the AISC Steel Construction Manual, and IBC, backed by hands-on experience with foundations, tilt-up concrete, and pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB).
• Fluency with ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar structural analysis software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit for design documentation.
• Experience working directly with geotechnical engineers, contractors, and construction teams through commissioning.

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years and multi-site U.S. data center delivery experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment anchorage (generators, transformers, chillers) and raised platform or foundation systems.
• Background at a company that self-performs its own builds rather than relying on a GC.
• Experience with site grading, drainage, and erosion and sediment control design for large campus sites.

Responsibilities

• Design civil and structural design end-to-end: foundations, structural steel and concrete framing, site grading and drainage, and equipment anchorage.
• Take professional responsibility for calculations, drawings, and specifications as Engineer of Record.
• Stay close to construction, resolve field conflicts in real time, and sign off only when it's actually right.
• Push on cost, constructability, and third-party engineering deliverables without cutting the corners that matter.
