The Civil/Structural Engineer will develop designs for non-flight hardware including Structural and Mechanical Hardware. This role involves working with large assembly and subassembly models in support of the Space Launch System (SLS) program as well as other new and existing programs at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The engineer will provide engineering design functions for time-critical hardware designs and support ongoing manufacturing of complex assemblies. Job duties include coordination with NASA project-level customers, working with a large team of engineers and designers to select hardware components, develop design and analysis of structures and mechanisms, and provide fabrication support. The role also involves participating in task meetings, collaborating with outside vendors and personnel from other NASA centers, and developing reports and presentations for management.
