This position can be filled as an Engineer I, II, III, Sr or Sr. Lead based on experience. The Civil/Structural Design Engineer - Nuclear identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between the engineering team and other station departments. They maintain configuration control for the plant. The role supports Maintenance, Operations, and other organizations on site in resolving plant issues stemming from significant events or complex plant equipment problems. This includes supporting and maintaining Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties, and interfacing with Maintenance and Operations for cost-effective maintenance strategies. The engineer issues engineering changes (Design changes and temporary modifications) to support emergent plant issues and equipment reliability issues, and helps support planning and prioritization aspects of the project life cycle. They implement action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via the corrective action and work management processes, and support changes in system configuration/design and design basis. The engineer develops engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures, and participates in project teams for critical on-line system outages or refueling outages. They serve on outage engineering support teams and attend training to maintain qualifications necessary to perform required group functions.
