About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to join their Land Development Team in Duluth, GA. This role is crucial for delivering innovative site development solutions for commercial, residential, and institutional projects. The engineer will work with a multidisciplinary team, contributing technical expertise, guiding project execution, and creating practical, buildable designs that support community growth.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
Minimum of 3 years of civil site design required
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office required
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings
Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Responsibilities

Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of plans, specifications, and reports for land development projects including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
Develop design calculations, technical memorandums, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers or technical leadership.
Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard engineering practices, local development codes, and permitting requirements.
Monitor project progress and coordinate design efforts to support schedules, budgets, and constructability.
Take responsibility for significant portions of land development projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including coordination with survey, environmental, and permitting efforts.
