Civil Site Development Project Manager - Lead
About The Position
A civil engineering firm located in multiple locations is seeking a Lead Civil Site Development Project Manager for their Louisville office! This role involves planning and coordinating the technical aspects of civil site engineering projects, serving as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. The position requires leading the general design of site, utility, and grading improvements, and handling all aspects of a project from management and design to field work and construction administration. The role also includes designing sustainable site improvements such as bioretention basins, pervious pavements, and bioswales, as well as developing project improvements using AutoCAD. Responsibilities also include identifying and troubleshooting potential construction issues before contractor bids, mentoring and training junior staff, and developing site engineering plans, reports, and specifications. Building and maintaining client relationships is a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 7+ years of experience
- PE License
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Knowledge of civil site-related technical design in land/site development
- Strong site development project design skills
- Strong project management/leadership skills
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Plan/coordinate technical aspects of civil site engineering projects
- Serve as primary client, project team consultants, and contractors contact
- Lead the general design of site, utility and grading improvements
- Handle all aspects of a project (management/design, field work, construction administration)
- Handle layout and detail for a variety of site improvement projects
- Design sustainable site improvements (bioretention basins, pervious payments, bioswales)
- Design and draft project improvements with AutoCAD
- Identify/troubleshoot potential construction issues before contractor bid
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Develop site engineering plans, reports, and specifications
- Build/maintain client relationships
