About The Position

The Civil Roadway – Senior Engineer – Major Projects is a senior‑level transportation engineering role supporting complex infrastructure programs in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The position sits within a multidisciplinary transportation team delivering roadway and highway components for large‑scale capital projects, including aviation, light rail transit, and urban infrastructure systems. The role focuses on detailed design oversight, technical coordination, and integration of roadway elements within multimodal transportation projects. Work spans planning and detailed design phases, with close collaboration across civil, rail, transit, and municipal disciplines. Projects are delivered within regulated public‑sector environments and require adherence to provincial and municipal design standards. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in roadway or highway design for major infrastructure projects, combined with the ability to lead technical teams, manage design quality, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across complex delivery environments.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, with an Ing. or P.Eng. designation preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience in engineering design, project management, or business development within the municipal sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in transportation infrastructure design and delivery.
  • Experience leading and managing teams of professionals.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven organizational capabilities and a flexible, solution-driven approach to challenges.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken French and English.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities
