About The Position
We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Civil Rights Attorneys with strong expertise in civil rights law, statutory interpretation, case law analysis, legal research, legal writing, policy analysis, and complex legal reasoning to contribute to an advanced legal AI training and evaluation project. Selected professionals will analyse civil rights statutes, regulations, policies, and judicial precedent, develop sophisticated legal scenarios, review AI-generated analyses, and provide expert feedback grounded in professional legal standards. No prior experience in AI is required.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction
- Substantial experience practicing civil rights law
- Strong legal research, writing, statutory-interpretation, and case-law analysis skills
- Experience handling complex or high-stakes legal matters
- Strong policy-analysis and critical-reasoning ability
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain sophisticated legal concepts clearly to varied audiences
Nice To Haves
- BigLaw or comparable top-tier legal experience is highly valuable
- Multidisciplinary or technology-focused project experience is advantageous
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
Responsibilities
- Analyse civil rights statutes, regulations, policies, and complex factual scenarios
- Interpret statutory language and evaluate competing legal interpretations
- Conduct research across statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and other relevant authorities
- Distinguish controlling precedent from persuasive authority
- Identify doctrinal developments, unresolved issues, and legally significant distinctions
- Draft legal memoranda, summaries, and analytical materials
- Develop realistic civil rights scenarios and hypotheticals testing statutory and case-law reasoning
- Synthesise complex legal sources into clear, well-supported conclusions
- Review written materials for accuracy, structure, and analytical completeness
- Translate sophisticated legal concepts for legal and non-legal audiences
- Review AI-generated civil rights analyses for legal accuracy and reasoning quality
- Identify missed issues, unsupported conclusions, or misuse of legal authority
- Evaluate policy materials and their legal implications where relevant
- Provide structured expert feedback supporting model improvement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex or ambiguous legal questions
