About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager - Structure and Bridge Design candidate to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group located in our Raleigh, NC office location. This role involves leading and managing design efforts for the Structural Engineering team, client management and development, and developing work plans, schedules, estimates, and budgets. The position also requires supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of engineers, mentoring junior engineers, and performing complex design for new and rehabilitation projects. Experience in bridge design and load rating is a plus, as is assisting with the development and implementation of marketing plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• 8-15 years of structural design experience
• Current North Carolina PE (or the ability to obtain the license through comity upon hiring)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation and NCDOT standards
• Proficiency in structural design software packages such as MDX, Virtis, Merlin-Dash, Descus, Bar7, STAAD, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred
• Bridge design and load rating experience is a plus
