About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our Water & Wastewater Group in Staunton, Virginia. The role involves managing assigned projects and client accounts, including marketing, client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, staff coordination, client communications, scope and fee negotiation, billing, and collections. The Project Manager is expected to maintain strong client relationships, cross-sell company services, and communicate effectively with the Group Leader. The ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience.
  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia and/or one or more states where Timmons Group operates.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering related to Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure markets.
  • Ability to design/manage project portions using relevant office software, modeling, and CADD technology.
  • Ability to complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
  • Ability to utilize computers to solve problems.
  • Ability to prepare specification materials using research and equipment catalogs.
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Effective communication with clients, staff, and internal design teams.
  • High energy, creative, flexible, patient, self-starter.
  • Willingness to work at a dynamic pace.
