Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Traffic Analysis
About The Position
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Traffic Analysis candidate for our Traffic Group located in our Raleigh, NC office. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of assigned projects and the development of strong client relationships. This role involves marketing and business development, ensuring technical quality, profitability, and adherence to schedules. It also includes project staff coordination, client communications, negotiating scopes and fees, billing, and assisting with fee collection when required, as well as client follow-up maintenance. The Project Manager must maintain superior relationships with clients, cross-sell Timmons Group services, and direct ongoing communications with the Office Manager and Transportation Group Leader. An ability to manage several mid-sized projects, multiple small projects, or a single larger project simultaneously is required.
Requirements
- A bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience
- 6 or more years experience in engineering or related technical profession
- Thorough understanding of project accounting
- Demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time
- Experience in marketing
- Experience in supervision of the technical work of others
- Working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position including Microstation and/or traffic analysis software packages (Synchro, SimTraffic, TransModeler, VISSIM, etc)
- Consistently presents a professional attitude towards clients and internal staff
- Effectively communicates with others in the daily completion of tasks or assignments
- Strives to achieve professional working relationships with others
- Shows a willingness to help others meet critical deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Professional registration (P.E., PTOE, etc.) in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business is preferred
- 8 or more years experience in traffic and transportation engineering
- Experience with projects for NCDOT and/or local governments in North Carolina
