About The Position

TULLOCH is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm with a strong reputation for its diverse service offerings and commitment to excellence. The Civil Project Engineer (P.Eng.) position, based in Sudbury, reports to the Project Manager, Engineering. This role involves reviewing and preparing technical deliverables for clients on Land Development and Linear Infrastructure projects, contributing to solutions in Municipal, Transportation, Environmental, Drainage, and Stormwater Management. The salary range for this new position is $80,000 - $107,000 annually.

Requirements

  • At least 2-4 years of experience working as a P.Eng. in Ontario in a Civil Engineering role
  • Valid P.Eng. licence through PEO
  • Robust knowledge in stormwater management, site servicing, and water resources engineering
  • Experience completing Municipal Class EA Planning process
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and technical modelling software
  • Willingness to travel periodically as needed

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced and challenging environment with our Planning and Engineering teams on a variety of land development and linear infrastructure projects
  • Be responsible for the successful delivery of civil engineering projects including: Lot Grading Plans, Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) Developments, Site Plan Control Applications, and Residential Subdivisions
  • Prepare and review technical deliverables including stormwater management designs and reports and functional servicing studies
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to prepare and review detailed engineering drawings
  • Apply technical modelling software such as Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM, and HEC-RAS
  • Provide on-site technical review and general review certification when required
  • Prepare and review project cost estimates and bid documentation and perform bid evaluation
  • Coordinate project needs with the Project Manager, Discipline Manager, clients, regulatory entities, vendors, and subcontractors
