Civil Project Engineer
About The Position

This role is for a Civil Engineer to join our growing aviation group in our Colorado division, based out of our Denver office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience, including experience designing aviation projects, and will be responsible for developing plans, specifications, and estimates for airport agencies and private clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- Experience with FAA design standards preferred but not required
- P.E. license in the state of Colorado or ability to obtain shortly after onboarded
- Demonstrate advanced use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D Modeling
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to perform complex analysis and design
- Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience
- Experience designing aviation projects

- Experience with FAA design standards
Responsibilities
- Design responsibility for elements such as pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security and fuel facilities
- Responsible for project design calculation files, ensuring adequate independent quality control reviews
- Manage the process of compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates and pay items
- Coordinate and review drafting and the assembly of plan sets
- Develop and oversee task work plans for assigned team members
- Engage in active team communication
- Organize technical meetings among design staff
- Perform occasional field construction observation, sometimes requiring out-of-town travel
- Active involvement in professional organizations
