We are looking to add a Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! In this role, you’ll support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal civil engineering projects that positively impact the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa
  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with municipal infrastructure preferred
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
  • Knowledge of SUDAS requirements
  • Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required
  • Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction
  • Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations.
  • Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports
  • Provides technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members
  • May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.)
  • Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff
