About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join their Land Development Group in Wilmington, NC. This role involves assisting clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. Project engineers typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and fosters teamwork, diverse training, and a sense of ownership. Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or other CAD software.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
High energy, creative, flexible, patient, self-starters who are willing to work at a dynamic pace.

Nice To Haves

EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools.
Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges.
Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.
Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.
Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.
Supporting field inspections and data collection.
Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.
