About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Structure & Bridge Design candidate for our Raleigh, NC office location or working remotely. This role involves performing routine and complex design of steel piles and steel connections, as well as cast-in-place concrete slabs. The position also requires an understanding of general renewable energy nomenclature and will involve assisting with the development of scope, schedule, and budgets for projects. Additionally, the candidate will assist with project and task management, as well as marketing and proposal development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
• 2+ years of solar structure design experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in structural design software packages, specifically LPile, Mathcad, Excel
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for plan development

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred
• PE License is a plus
• Proficiency with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability to create pile plot plans is as plus

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex design of steel piles and steel connections.
