About The Position

Primoris Services Corporation is a premier specialty contractor providing critical infrastructure services to the utility, energy, and renewables markets throughout the United States and Canada. We deliver a range of engineering, construction, and maintenance services that power, connect, and enhance society. This role involves operating civil/mechanical equipment on industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shops. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to follow instructions, perform quality work, and work effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities include mobilizing and demobilizing equipment, ensuring equipment maintenance, and performing other duties as assigned by management. The role also involves various physical demands and working in diverse environmental conditions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
  • Able to proofread and check documents for accuracy, as well as use a keyboard to enter and transform words or data.
  • Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Practice safety rules.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
  • Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
  • Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
  • Must work well as part of a team.
  • Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and tools are properly accounted for, used for correct purpose and are maintained.
  • Serve as backup to other positions at the direction of management; and other duties as assigned.
  • Mobilize and demobilize equipment being operated, including loading, unloading, securing, set up and tear down.
  • Comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Comply with client safety requirements (e.g., clean-shaven, long sleeves, steel-toe boots).
  • Wear a respirator and other PPE when required.
