About The Position

MIRACORP is seeking a Civil Investigator to support our federal customer at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas (USAO/WDTX), in the San Antonio, Texas branch office. The role involves expected travel to the Del Rio, Big Bend, and El Paso Sectors of Customs and Border Patrol. The individual must also be able to perform as an English-Spanish interpreter/translator. The contractor shall provide this person to perform the duties outlined below with the skills necessary to successfully meet the Government’s requirements.

Requirements

Foreign language skills are required (English-Spanish)
Must have above average written and oral communication skills
Training and experience in federal law enforcement and/or federal investigation fields can be substituted with formal education.

Nice To Haves

15+ years law enforcement experience
Experience in condemnation matters
Experience with working on complex investigations
Significant experience in testifying in court

Responsibilities

Provides professional investigations to clarify/verify facts
Review correspondence and guidance for the Border Wall Project.
Be able to understand the rights of entry for federal condemnation matters.
Effectively communicate with landowners both verbally and in written format
Prepare individual Border Wall Project files.
Prepare correspondence for assigned Border Wall Project actions.
Make assessments and provide written reports/analysis of information.
Perform any task pertaining to the Border Wall Project program.
Serves as an English/Spanish interpreter/translator.
Travels in support of investigation.
Must be proficient in the use of technology, including word processing applications, online public record databases, GPS, probate records, land records, etc.
Must be able to assist in locating potential landowners and their heirs.
