Requirements

  • Experience with excavation and trench work, including but not limited to sewer, drainage, electrical, gas, communication, etc.
  • Experience with grading, fill placement and roadway and sidewalk installation.
  • Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Must be able to use all Microsoft products (outlook, teams, word, excel) and proficient with Adobe.
  • Knowledge of Visio preferred but not required.
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET level 2 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and verify construction activities, reading and understanding construction documents, maintain field records.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and informing Resident Engineer about unsafe conditions and non-conforming work in the field.
  • Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications
  • Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance
  • Document inspections and report any issues
  • Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors and vendors to complete each project on time
  • Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project
  • Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location
  • Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site
  • Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of individual projects
  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
