Civil Estimator / Project Manager - Site Utilities
About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator / Project Manager who can successfully manage projects from the estimate through the successful completion of the project. We are looking for someone experienced with Underground Site Utilities, Excavation and overall Civil Site Development. The Estimator is responsible for preparing proposals and securing contracts. This is accomplished by either meeting prospective clients on site determining their needs or by reviewing construction drawings and preparing an estimate based upon the scope of work and specification outlined in the drawings. You will communicate with the prospective client and secure contracts for the Company.
Requirements
- Very professional appearance and communication when dealing with clients
- Elevated attention to detail is a must
- Understand project costs and know how to stay under budget
- Negotiate material purchases
- Be able to effectively communicate the client's expectations to the crew foreman
- Ability to prepare detailed daily reports for management
- Minimum 3 years of experience estimating construction specifically in Civil Site Utilities
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret project plans and specifications to prepare bid estimates
- Calculate project costs and prepare estimates
- Deliver estimates to prospective clients and negotiate contracts
