About The Position

Apex Companies is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer for its Marathon, Florida office. The engineer will work under the guidance of experienced professionals on municipal and environmental projects, including water and wastewater systems, site development, and stormwater management. This role offers hands-on project experience and the opportunity to develop foundational engineering skills in a supportive environment. The position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the company’s program terms and conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Interest in water and wastewater engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and self-management abilities.
• Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer Intern (EI) certification, or ability to obtain it within six months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Civil 3D.
• Internship or co-op experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and project managers with planning, design, permitting, and documentation of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Develop preliminary plans, calculations, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct field investigations, review reports and drawings, and help analyze data to inform engineering solutions.
• Help ensure designs and deliverables comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with internal staff, clients, and external stakeholders; provide project updates and respond to technical inquiries.
• Pursue professional development, stay current with industry best practices, and work toward professional licensure.
