About The Position

TULLOCH is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm with a strong reputation for its diverse service offerings and commitment to excellence. They are known for their innovative use of technology and a strong work ethic. This fall co-op position, based in Huntsville, ON, is for a Civil Engineering Technician who will assist in all aspects of Engineering project delivery, with a focus on Civil and Water Resources Engineering. The primary responsibility will be performing and assisting with construction inspection. This position runs from September-December 2026.

Requirements

  • Willing to travel for site inspections and fieldwork on a daily basis
  • Ability to pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results
  • Willingness to ask for help when needed
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to overall team success
  • Enrolled in a relevant field of study (Civil Engineering, Water Resources)
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of OttHymo, MIDUSS, Rational Method, etc.
  • Experience in the use of Total Station and GPS Survey Equipment

Responsibilities

  • Performing and assisting with construction inspections on various projects
  • Support preparation of plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications
  • Support stormwater management design and other aspects of Water Resources management projects
  • Work in a team to develop Site Plan preparation documents including site services, grading, drainage, and stormwater management
  • Assist with civil engineering design for municipal infrastructure
  • Work in a team on Subdivision development projects
