About The Position
ASRC Federal NetCentric is hiring a Civil Engineering Technician at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. This role involves creating, revising, and maintaining Computer Aided Drawing and Design (CADD) work associated with contract requirements. The technician will provide technical assistance in the construction or revision of maps and charts, and assist Geographical Information System (GIS) engineers in collecting and updating geospatial data.
Requirements
- Requires an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or similar. Equivalent education/experience is applicable.
- Valid FL Driver License required.
- Must currently possess a security clearance or ability to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Utilize established inspection and assessment criteria to perform building space utilization and measurement.
- Interpret plans, specifications, and other contract documents as interface with facility users, subcontractors or vendors.
- Under general supervision perform assigned facility utilization surveys with customers.
- Interact with facility users and government customers to determine highest and best use of facilities.
- Update and maintain preexisting CADD files, tables, and charts.
- Assist engineers’ creation and maintenance of utility system modeling through requested field data gathering.
- Support installation hurricane preparation and recovery activities.
