About The Position

Stonefield Engineering & Design is recruiting civil engineering students to join its Traffic or Site/Civil Engineering Team for Summer 2027. The roles offer diverse interaction and opportunities for growth while supporting engineering and consulting projects for private developers, universities, and public agencies. Interns may contribute to traffic engineering or site/civil engineering work, including field activities, analysis, design, drafting, permitting, and project support.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic counts and field inspections.
• Prepare Traffic Impact Studies and conduct Highway Capacity Analysis.
• Support NJDOT permitting and attend project meetings.
• Assist with roadway design and traffic signal design.
• Conduct site and zoning investigations, concept design, field work, and data collection.
• Draft site plans and assist with site plan design.
• Assist with cost estimating and related supporting tasks.
