About The Position

Lynch & Associates – Engineering Consultants, LLC is a growing multidisciplinary consulting firm with offices in Burlington and New Berlin, Wisconsin. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to manage civil engineering projects and construction observation services while leading staff, clients, budgets, and project delivery. This opportunity is designed for an engineer who is ready to take ownership of projects while remaining involved in design, quality control, client service, and the development of less-experienced team members. This position is based in our New Berlin office and works collaboratively with project teams across both Lynch & Associates locations. Occasional travel to our Burlington office and project sites may be required.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • PE registration or recognition as a technical expert.
  • Participation in a professional organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering projects, staff, clients, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and site civil, municipal, and/or transportation projects.
  • Ability to provide overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to meet Lynch & Associates' automotive-insurability requirements for business driving.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering projects and construction observation services from planning through delivery.
  • Work independently while coordinating with project teams across Lynch & Associates offices.
  • Train, mentor, direct, and provide oversight to engineering staff assigned to projects.
  • Design site civil, municipal, and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
  • Prepare and oversee reports and permits for site civil, transportation, and municipal projects.
  • Provide QA/QC review of designs completed by engineering staff.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate regularly with clients, peers, public agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Assist with proposals and contract preparation.
  • Manage project budgets, project billings, and accounts receivable responsibilities.
  • Support business development and marketing activities as appropriate.
