About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our talented Civil team! This opportunity involves joining a collaborative, close-knit team working on municipal roadway and utility projects both on construction sites and in the office. The intern will support field staff by assisting with on-site construction observation, construction surveying, and staking. Additionally, they will assist project managers and engineers with project development and design tasks, while maintaining effective communication with staff, contractors, and clients. A key responsibility will be accurately drafting project information using AutoCAD and related software. This opportunity is open to candidates residing in the Minnetonka, MN area.

Requirements

• Candidate must have reliable transportation to travel to/from the office and nearby civil construction sites during the summer 2027 season.
• Actively enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Project Management or related undergraduate program
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in construction inspection, monitoring, or supervision of work crews
• Knowledge of roadway plan and specification reading
• Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD
