About The Position
Garver's Water Design Center (WDC) in Greenville, SC is seeking a passionate Civil Intern to join their team of water treatment facility planning and design experts. This internship offers hands-on experience in design within a dynamic and professional environment, contributing to innovative solutions for community water needs.
Requirements
- Candidates must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in designing water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with the design and drafting of site civil components for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Support development of grading, drainage, erosion control, utility, and site layout plans for a variety of projects.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and quantity estimates.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D to support project design tasks.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field investigations as needed.
