Civil Engineering Intern
About The Position
SB Energy is seeking motivated students or alumni for Summer Internship opportunities to gain hands-on experience at a fast-paced and innovative energy and digital infrastructure company. Our mission is to deliver reliable and secure data center and power infrastructure to strengthen America’s future. Internships have a specific focus but often provide broader exposure to SB Energy's business, offering insights into different company areas and the energy and data center industry. This internship will help participants acquire marketable skills by engaging in key engineering initiatives, gaining technical skills in civil engineering for large-scale projects, and understanding project development and structural engineering.
Requirements
- Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Civil Engineering
- Studied Hydrology, Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering
- Experience with GIS and Hydrology tools such as HEC-RAS a plus
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with GIS and Hydrology tools such as HEC-RAS
Responsibilities
- Perform Hydrology Analyses of large solar power plant projects utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) and Hydrological Analysis software such as HEC-RAS.
- Review reports and studies known as 'Due Diligence'.
- Identify project risks.
- Estimate civil works quantities.
